This is a question that unfortunately no one asks themselves, since for people the issue of lighting is an unimportant or not highly valued topic before building or remodeling a property.

My name is Alessandro, and I've been working with LED lighting for several years. Thanks to this experience, I've gained the knowledge to answer this important question. I'd like to emphasize that this is just my personal opinion, based on my time working in the lighting industry.

First of all, I'd like to talk about how illumination is measured. Illumination is measured in Kelvin, and this parameter ranges from 1000 Kelvin to 10,000 Kelvin. To put it more simply, 1000 Kelvin is very amber, and 10,000 Kelvin is very blue. I'm giving this quick explanation of illumination temperature so you can more easily understand when we're talking about 3000 Kelvin, which is warm white (yellowish) illumination, and the lower the number, the closer it gets to amber. Similarly, 6000 Kelvin is cool white illumination, and the higher the number, the bluer it becomes. Let's start by talking about one of the most popular: Cool White light, or 6500K. This is a clear light with bluish tones, and thanks to its clarity and intensity, it's widely used in places where hygiene or visibility is paramount, such as hospitals, restrooms, jewelry stores, restaurant kitchens, laboratories, and offices in some cases.

Its power and clarity make it very effective at detecting grime and dirt, but not for resting.

This brings us to the second most well-known option: Warm White or 3000K. This lighting is bright with yellow undertones. This tone is the most popular on the market because the lighting used in the past had this tone, and it's what we're most familiar with. But that doesn't mean it's the best option for the home, as it casts a lot of shadows. People use it a lot simply because restaurants and luxury hotels started using it to create ambiance in their establishments, and for this reason, it gained popularity as luxury lighting. But people didn't realize that it was only for ambiance.

We recommend warm lighting for creating a pleasant atmosphere in your home or office, whether for a meeting, a private dinner, or simply to highlight hallways. This type of lighting works particularly well for these purposes and also helps to make your property look more elegant.

So what kind of lighting should we use for the office or home?

This question has a very simple answer: Neutral White light or 4000 K is the best option for your home, and now I'll explain why.

Although it has been on the market for several years, its popularity in Mexico only began to rise three years ago. This is neutral white light, or 4000K. This light is the perfect balance between warm and cool and is also the light most similar to sunlight, creating the perfect ambiance for a room. For this reason, we believe it is the ideal light for the home. It combines neutral white light with warm white light to create indirect lighting and elegant atmospheres without sacrificing brightness.
